A source in the General Intelligence Service in Syria confirmed that the security authorities managed to arrest the terrorist attack that targeted the St. Elias Church in the Al -Duwaida area, within less than 24 hours of the operation.

The source indicated that the operation came after an accurate monitoring of the movements of the cell members, as it resulted in the arrest of the main official and a number of participants in carrying out the attack.
The cell belongs to ISIS and was planning for some time
The source revealed that the terrorist cell affiliated with ISIS was planning a long time ago, and that it was active in the Damascus countryside, in secret cells prepared for similar operations.
Confiscation of large quantities of explosives and weapons
The security forces were able to confiscate a number of explosive belts and devices prepared for the bombing, as well as light weapons that were in the possession of the cell members. During the qualitative operation, explosive concert, landmines and car bombs were also seized.
