Representative Ahmed Sabah Al -Salloum held a ceremony this evening (Sunday) to honor a group of male and female students, whose number exceeded the hundred, who excelled in the fifth district of the Capital Governorate, graduates of the preparatory and secondary levels, in appreciation of their efforts in collecting science and achieving the highest grades, stressing that MP Al -Salloum is that the establishment of this annual ceremony for the seventh year in a row comes within the framework of his keenness to support distinguished students and urge them to continue to excel. And success to raise the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain high, and harness all the capabilities and resources available to serve and educate students.
The Salloum MP considered that the achievements achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the educational field come in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, may God protect and preserve him, in making education a basis for comprehensive and sustainable development, and as an extension of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, aimed at building the Bahraini person and qualifying him scientifically and professionally for the future.
In his speech, MP Al -Salloum also praised the qualitative achievements and entrepreneurial initiatives achieved by the Ministry of Education during the years 2024 and 2025, which came in response to the aspirations of the families and members of the House of Representatives, and received a widespread welcome among various groups of society, leaving a positive impact on the education process. Among the most prominent of which is the leadership in the use of digital technology in education, as the ministry has achieved remarkable international progress in the field of digital transformation in schools, where 61 government schools in Bahrain won the title of “incubating technology school” approved by Microsoft in 2024, which made the first Kingdom in the Arab world and the third globally in terms of the number of these schools, and this was reflected in Bahrain exporting the countries of the world in terms of the percentage of schools integrated with digital technology within its system The educational, which is the result of continuous efforts since the launch of the King Hamad project for future schools in 2005.
The MP Al -Salloum continued, saying: “When talking about educational achievements, we remember the process of developing curricula and creating international educational programs, specifically what the ministry is currently seeking from a pioneering project to present the international baccalaureate program (IB) in government schools, which is one of the largest projects of the Ministry to develop the quality of education according to international standards, at a time when the ministry continues to update the curricula in various subjects to enhance education outcomes, with a focus on the introduction of future skills such as intelligence Artificial and modern technologies within the educational process.
Representative Al-Salloum praised the efforts of the executive authority to enhance educational infrastructure and absorb population growth, and what was included in the public budget plan 2025-2026 from the ministry’s readiness to build 5 new schools in different regions, in addition to establishing 4 academic buildings in existing schools, and implementing comprehensive maintenance for 80 existing government schools with the aim of developing its facilities and improving the educational environment in it, and the Ministry’s plans also include employing hundreds of graduates Bahrainis in the teaching corps during the next two years, in the context of investing in national competencies to support sustainable development in education
