Mahmoud Badawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Aswan, received, in his office, the coordinators of the “Masar” project, namely (Islam Shehata – George Katins – Mohamed Hamed – Basma Al -Sobky – Menna Hasbi) in the presence of Professor Hayam Nasser, Director of the Preparatory Education Department and the project coordinator in Aswan Governorate.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry started the meeting, by thanking the members of the project, for their prominent role in the success of the project in Aswan as it is one of the provinces that were chosen at the level of the Republic, wishing to generalize the experience in all schools of Aswan.
After that, the meeting dealt with the mechanisms for implementing the project with the preparatory “Arab Al -Orouba” teachers, and the return of awareness sessions that were presented to the students of the two schools, which ended with the presentation of students to see their future projects and projects through the “open day” that was organized in the two schools.
It is worth noting that the “Masar Project” is one of the projects based on joint cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the German Development Agency GIZ and the German GFA group, and is implemented in 8 governorates, with a total number of schools of 17 preparatory schools.
Awareness for middle school students
The project is based on the idea of holding awareness sessions for middle school students, with the aim of introducing them to various technical education paths, and the requirements of the labor market, by providing an explanation of the various technical education departments, and the facilitator masters to educate students about the importance of technical education and its role in advancing the wheel of development, as it meets most of the desires and interests among students, and that the educational process after the preparatory stage does not stop at academic education only, but there are other educational paths that the labor market needs.
The student can refine his skills and interests by joining this type of education “technical paths”.
A “Open Day” was implemented at Al -Orouba Joint Preparatory School, as one of the activities of the program, during which students showed a great interaction, and a high level of knowledge, self -confidence and understanding of all the values provided by the path project.
The students themselves took over the preparation and presentation of the project in partnership with the facilitators of the project, and the event was attended by large numbers of students and parents, Talal in technical education, officials and representatives of the private sector, in addition to the members of the Board of Trustees, and today it was characterized by many distinguished and varied activities presented by the students.
