The Committee for Training and Workers’ Education in the Free Union of Bahrain Trade Unions, in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences, organized a specialized workshop entitled “The concept of artificial intelligence and its applications”, as part of the Federation’s continuous efforts to develop digital and knowledge awareness of the trade union and labor cadres in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The workshop witnessed an active participation of the attendees, and was presented by a group of specialized lecturers, as it was started with a lecture by Dr. Muhammad Alaa Al -Hamami, Director of the Community Service Office at the University of Applied Sciences, during which he dealt with the focus of the basics of artificial intelligence, starting from international introduction and statistics, to the definition, types, and the various stages of the development of artificial intelligence, as well as explaining the mechanism of his work, challenges and ethical considerations related With it, also referring to the organizations it requires to ensure that it is used effectively, and the expected future trends.
In the second lecture, Dr. Ahmed Saleh Shetat, Head of Administrative Information Systems Department, spoke about the axis of artificial intelligence, “Osimbek of Companies” – between the rapid solution and the smart strategy, where he presented an innovative clarification similar, and reviewed the applications of artificial intelligence in the corporate environment, while highlighting the risks and challenges associated with it.
As for the third lecture, it was presented by Dr. Abdullah Saleh Shetat, the coordinator of the Bachelor’s Programs, which centered on the artificial intelligence and the ChatGPT application, pointing to the skills required to use it effectively, while reviewing the tools for improving results through roles and context.
