In a world in which the social media became the first source of information, and the biggest theater of opinion, many people have turned into an audience watching, and a few are to representatives in a daily presentation of misinformation and claim, but what is remarkable about this show is that everyone in it wants the hero, even if he is a hero of paper.
How long has the tournament became just a sharp publication, or an emotional video? How long has the defense of the homeland have been done on a Live on Facebook or a post charged with insults? And since when everyone who screams is higher, or curses more, or rides a wave of trend, it is described as brave, national, or even a symbol?
The alternative media – or let us say the parallel media – has made stars without content, and heroes who do not bear any real cost except the press of a button, and an army of followers who may clap today, and attack tomorrow. Social media has turned into a wrestling circuit in which everything is permissible: misleading, intimidation, betrayal, deification, sometimes incitement, and the result? A state of intellectual chaos and psychological division within society.
It is not strange, then, to see those who did not know anything about the sacrifices of the army, talking about national security, and whoever does not enter a government building, talks about the deep state.
And whoever does not generate a small institution, puts plans to manage the country, and removes accusations for free to officials, all this without real awareness, awareness of the nature of the stage, or even respect for minds.
The seriousness of this phenomenon is not only in falsifying public awareness, but in that it creates a false public opinion, and puts the state in the range of rumors day and night, every publication is not scattered, and every video of anonymous source, may turn into a public opinion issue, and it may be used to stir people, strike confidence in state institutions, or distort national symbols.
Rather, the most dangerous of this is that some hostile authorities have become dependent on these heroes of paper, such as implementation tools, spreading digital chaos under glamorous slogans such as: freedom of expression, national awakening, and popular awareness, while in fact, they are just pawns in a larger game, and tools that destroy more than you are building.
And what many people do not realize, that the social media – if not used consciously – becomes a weapon directed at home, how many rumors have rocked public opinion for no reason? How many false information spread panic among people? How much of a section is a result of the shipping of souls and the effects of confusion, then it became clear after a few days that it is fabricated or inaccurate?!
In the midst of this crowd, the real heroes disappear, those who work in silence, and defend the state from their positions without sound or fame, the soldiers who people do not know, doctors who save lives, engineers who build factories, and teachers who make hope, these people do not find a place in the trend, because they are simply not looking for a trend.
As for those who live within the world of the screen, and make from every crisis a platform to appear, they do not realize that they contribute to distorting public awareness, and they create generations that think that the speech is an alternative to action, that patriotism is a screaming, not commitment, and that the tournament does not need sacrifice but to a good montage video.
Here comes the most dangerous role: the role of elites, intellectuals, and real media, we must resist this phenomenon with a rational presentation, reliable information, objective criticism, and the presentation of true models for young people, so we do not leave the scene for excitement enthusiasts, and we do not allow the collapse of the values system under the pressure of the trends.
In the end, every individual in this country must reconsider what he believes, what he promotes, and what he writes, because the word now is no longer just an opinion, but it may be a bullet, and it may be a dagger in the back of the country.
The homeland is not protected by a publication, and the state is not consciously built. The real heroes are not made by trend, but are made by positions.
