Al -Salloum pointed to the great strategic importance of the United Kingdom’s joining the comprehensive agreement for security integration and prosperity, in response to the joint call from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America.
He considered that this accession represents a qualitative shift in the path of international cooperation of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and reflects the increasing confidence in the pivotal role that the Kingdom plays in enhancing regional and international security and stability, and opens the way for more integration and coordination in the areas of security, defense and economy between member states in the agreement.
The Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee noted that the agreements and memoranda of understanding during the visit constitutes a strategic addition to the fields of economic cooperation between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, foremost of which is the second strategic partnership in the field of investment and cooperation, which enhances the volume of mutual investments, and creates qualitative opportunities for economic growth in the joint priority sectors such as financial services, technology, and industry, as well as supporting efforts to reduce emissions Carbon.
Salloum praised the new investments included in the partnership of two billion pounds from the Bahraini private sector in the British market, which reflects the durability of the partnership and the trust of the Bahraini investor in the economic environment in the United Kingdom.
Al -Salloum also valued the defense cooperation agreement that was signed during the visit, considering that it devotes joint commitment to preserving regional security, and enhances the capabilities of defense and military partnership between the two countries, especially in the field of maritime cooperation and joint training, which contributes to supporting stability in the Gulf region and the wider region.
