His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Acts and Youth Affairs, stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is achieving prominent successes in various economic fields, based on the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, who established the pillars of comprehensive and sustainable development, in addition to the continuous support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, may God protect him Accelerating the pace of economic reforms and enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness at the regional and international levels, which reflects the wise leadership commitment to advance economic growth and achieve the ambitious goals of Bahrain’s economic vision 2030.
This came during a speech to His Highness in the twenty -eighth session of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025, in the presence of His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Friendly Republic of the Federation, President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabu Sobanto, Mr. Deng Xiwa Chiang, Vice President of the Chinese State Council, Vice President of South Africa Paul Machatil and senior officials from different countries of the world.

I am pleased to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the Republic of Russia for the invitation of the Kingdom of Bahrain as an official guest of honor in the forum, and thanks to His Excellency President Vladimir Putin for his generous call to me to participate as an official speaker in this ancient economic forum, and it is good for me in this regard that I convey to your Excellency the greetings of my master His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him The royal Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, and cannot fail to remember with great pride in the visit of Sidi His Majesty the Great King, may God protect him to the Russian Federation in 2024, and the meeting that brought his majesty with the luxury of the President of Russia, which formed an important station in the course of the bilateral relationship, which reflected the depth of friendship and the common desire to enhance bilateral cooperation, and today represents one of the pillars of this Bahraini presence in the forum.
The economic policies followed by friendly Russia, led by President Vladimir Putin, have been a major engine in promoting stability and economic growth in Russia and the region, as these policies played a vital role in stimulating strategic sectors, especially energy and industry, which reflected positively on the international investment environment, and Russia was able to enhance its economic relations with the countries of the region and the world, which contributed to creating new trade opportunities and making it a major partner in the economy Global.
In this regard, I would like to remember with you a poem by the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin in his famous poem “The Memorial”, where he says, “I will remain loved by my people because with my poetry I have awakened good feelings in them”, this is the president of your wise policy with your people as a notification of Pushkin, not measured by the numbers alone, it is true that we are in an economic forum, but these numbers are not measured, but these numbers are not He wakes up in her peoples from hope, and what she cultivates in the hearts of his reassurance, and the human impact she leaves that goes beyond the limits of indicators and standards.
The vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain Economic 2030, launched by the wise leadership in the Kingdom, embodies a comprehensive strategic framework for national development, this vision was not just a strategy, but rather a road map towards a sustainable future that put Bahrain on the right track to achieve an ideal balance between economic growth and sustainability, Bahrain enabled Bahrain to attract foreign investments and enhance its economic capabilities through strategic initiatives that included all sectors and most notably the development of the structure Digital infrastructure and expanding the role of the private sector in development.
Based on these successes, the Kingdom of Bahrain is working on developing a new national vision that extends until 2050, based on the pillars of innovation, digital transformation, sustainability and diversification of sources of income, and this strategic direction represents an affirmation of the Kingdom’s commitment to keeping pace with global changes, and enhancing its economic readiness for the next stage through constructive international partnerships that contribute to achieving development and balanced in the long run.
The focus on human capital development has been a major axis of our success, as the Kingdom of Bahrain believes that investing in man is the true basis for the progress of nations. From this standpoint, the Kingdom was keen to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors to launch qualitative initiatives aimed at qualifying young Bahraini cadres and enabling them to fully engage in the labor market, which contributes to building a flexible economy capable of adapting to global changes and challenges.
Bahrain has also worked hard to build an advanced digital infrastructure, which made it one of the most prominent digital centers in the region.
This trend was not limited to facilitating business, but also contributed to providing an ideal environment for innovation and creativity in many sectors. Today, the digital economy is an essential pillar in Bahrain’s strategy towards a knowledge -based economy.
On the other hand, the strategic partnership between Bahrain and friendly countries, including the Republic of Russia, is one of the pillars that contributed to strengthening the business environment in the Kingdom. Bahrain has maintained a strong and fruitful relationship with all global powers, which allowed it to be a stable economic center attractive to investments.
Bahrain continues its endeavor to facilitate the movement of foreign investments by providing legislation and facilities that enhance the business environment.
Today, the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council constitute a leading model in supporting entrepreneurship and enhancing the investment environment in the region, and in the Kingdom of Bahrain we attach great importance to this pivotal role from our belief that innovation and creativity are two main pillars to achieve sustainable economic development.
From this standpoint, we see at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, an active platform for displaying ambitious economic initiatives and expanding the prospects for cooperation between investors and entrepreneurs from around the world.
