Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, received today, June 20, a phone call from “David Lami”, the UK Foreign Minister, as part of the intensive contacts to discuss successive developments in the Middle East and ways to stop the military escalation between Israel and Iran.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, that the two ministers exchange visions and estimates regarding the rapid developments taking place in the region, and Minister Abdel Ati reviewed the position of Egypt, demanding an escalation and ceasefire and the resumption of the diplomatic path to reach an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, in order to avoid fueling the situation in the region, noting the great importance to continue the efforts of European countries in this context and concerted international efforts to contain the crisis And avoid expanding the struggle.
It was agreed at the end of the call to continue coordination, consultation and work jointly to stop the escalation in the region and exploit the available diplomatic paths to achieve calm.
