Intel is preparing for a new round of major hairstyles within the “Intel Foundary” section next July, as part of a broader restructuring that includes manufacturing and slices packaging for external customers.

According to what was stated in an internal note, the company plans to lay off between 15% to 20% of the employees of this section, which is one of the “Intel” ambition to return as a strong competitor in the slide manufacturing market.

Indoor rearranging may affect thousands of employees

Although the accurate numbers have not yet announced, the company had recorded nearly 109 thousand employees at the end of 2024, which means that the number of affected people may reach thousands if the hairdos extend to other sections as well.

This step comes at a time when the company is still trying to recover from its market share in front of competitors such as TSMC and AMD with increasing financial pressure as a result of intense investment in its new manufacturing structure.

Long -term plans but at a high price

The CEO of “Intel” Pat Gilsinger has repeatedly expressed the need for “difficult decisions” to ensure the company remains on the right track while emphasizing the importance of returning to engineering roots and focusing on basic fields.

Since the “Intel Vision” conference last March, expectations indicated the possibility of separating some non -essential units, which Gilsinger has already confirmed to customers.

It is noteworthy that the company had already had 15% of its power operating in August 2024, approximately 15,000 employees, as part of a similar restructuring plan.
