The owners of religious campaigns confirmed the restoration of most Bahraini citizens in the Islamic Republic of Iran, while a few will remain returned by land or by flying from Turkmenistan. The organizers of the “Al -Mujtaba campaign” said the start of the transfer of 197 Bahraini citizens from the Iranian city of Mashhad to the borders of Turkmenistan, as part of coordination efforts to return them to the Kingdom, in direct cooperation with the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They explained, in a telephone conversation with “Al -Watan”, that the ministry sent official lists of the names of Bahraini citizens present in Iran, and work was worked on their departure to the Turkmen borders as a first stage, in preparation for completing their return procedures to Bahrain. They added that the lists of names are sent successively, and they are dealt with according to the names registered in the link of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressing that the campaign is currently working as the only coordination channel between the Bahraini Foreign Ministry and citizens on the ground.
The contractor, Hussein Al -Dairi, revealed that several citizens were returned either through Basra, or through Kuwait by land, indicating that there is a large number that will be returned by flying by the organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He said: “We have returned 222 sea citizens by land, while there are still 59 people in Mashhad, and they are scheduled to be returned by the plane,” explaining that the largest part was returned, but there were those who chose to stay to complete their journey.
While Yunus Al -Baladi said: “I was able to return 60 people through land at my own expense, and there are 8 of them who refused to return, when they talked about their desire to end their period, and I showed them that dependent on the status of land roads and the state of flight.”
These moves come in light of the current conditions in the region, and in the interest of the concerned authorities to ensure the safety of citizens and facilitate their return as soon as possible.
In addition, Representative Jalal Kazem Al -Mahfouz said: “The contractors organize flights from Basra with a large number, and there is one campaign that resulted in the exit of 7 buses,” explaining that it is assumed that the full evacuation will take place tomorrow, Saturday.
He affirmed his follow-up to the official moves that Bahrain is making to return the Bahraini citizens present in Iran, pointing out that efforts include coordination paths, including passing through the territory of the Republic of Turkmenistan, as well as diplomatic efforts that led to securing return by land through the Iranian-Iraqi border while exempting citizens from visa fees to enter Iraq.
Al -Mahfouz explained that there are continuous efforts within the framework of the humanitarian and diplomatic initiatives led by the competent authorities, with the aim of protecting citizens abroad and facilitating their safe return from Iran. He also pointed out that diplomatic talks are witnessing positive progress, while awaiting the Turkmen side to allow citizens to enter their lands by land and secure their return through air transport.
He added that the competent authorities, headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the ambassador, the extraordinary delegated to Turkmenistan, who lives in Turkey, Bassam Al -Marzouq, is closely following the conditions of citizens in Iran, as the ministry is constantly working with the countries concerned to secure a safe passage that guarantees their return as soon as possible.
He stressed that the safety of Bahraini citizens abroad is a top priority for the wise leadership, the official authorities and the House of Representatives.
