In a rare and shocking medical incident, a 61 -year -old woman in Taiwan was exposed to an explosion in the colon and part of her intestine came out of her body, as a result of a severe cough attack caused by a cold.

According to the British Daily Mail newspaper, the doctors confirmed that the woman had undergone an uterine eradication about ten months ago, without suffering from any clear complications after that, but her recent visit to the emergency department came after suffering from sudden abdominal pain, as it was later found that a small part of its accurate intestine has emerged outside the vagina.
The doctors performed emergency surgery, and discovered a rupture in the vaginal wall, which allowed the intestine to get out of the abdominal cavity, and after returning the organs to its place, the defect was successfully restored, and the patient left the hospital after five days.
The doctors pointed out that this condition is medical known as the vaginal vaginal removal as a result of the opening of the vaginal cuff, which is a very rare complication after uterine eradication, and it occurs in only 0.032% of patients.
A sharp coughing attack
The risk of this condition increases in the event of a chronic cough or severe cough attacks, and the aging and the presence of a history of the sinking of the pelvic members increases the risk factors.
This is not the first of its kind, as the doctors documented in 2011 a similar case to a 86 -year -old British woman, who suffered from a severe coughing attack that led to the emergence of about six inches from her accurate intestine across the vagina, after she was suffering from a decline in the vaginal cellar for several years.
Doctors confirmed in both cases that these injuries require immediate surgical intervention to avoid serious complications such as infection, blood loss, or damage to the exposed organs, and they recommended that a sterile cover moistened with a saline solution on the prominent intestine to protect it until the date of surgery.
According to medical reports, only 113 cases were registered globally for the bowel decline across the vagina, and the death rate as a result of this case is about 6%.

Doctors have warned that severe coughing, especially in light of the seasonal season and respiratory diseases, may be a real danger to those who underwent the pelvic operations, calling on patients to follow up their health condition and not to ignore any sudden symptoms.
