Dr. Amal Al -Hawari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Beni Suef Governorate, said that the directorate will take several urgent measures to support the students of the “Hamida Abu Al -Hassan” preparatory school, after the collective failure, which sparked widespread controversy.
Amal Al -Hawari added in a special statement to Cairo 24, that free strengthening classes will be organized for students during the coming period in preparation for the second round exams, stressing that this is the last opportunity for students to improve their results and success.
The Undersecretary indicated that the Ministry is following the situation closely, and the school administration has already been exempt from its tasks, and assigned a committee to determine the reasons for collective failure and take the necessary decisions to ensure that it is not repeated in the future.
Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, the governor of Beni Suef, assigned the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, to exempt the management of Hamida School, the Department of Education, Al -Wasiti, from its tasks, after a wide circulation through the social networking sites of the collective failure of the third -grade middle school students in the school, which the governor considered a clear reflection of the poor administrative and educational performance inside the school.
The governor also assigned the ministry’s agent to refer each of the Director of Al -Wasiti Educational Administration and the Undersecretary of the Department to the urgent investigation, to determine the reasons for this clear decline in the school’s results, and the failure to follow up and educational evaluation within the educational administration.
The governor also instructed the speedy preparation of an integrated study on the reasons for the low rates of success and the high rates of failure, while monitoring the poor commitment to attend and the decrease in academic achievement in this school, provided that the study includes realistic solutions to improve performance in the school and the rest of the schools that are witnessing close conditions.
The governor also directed an urgent societal meeting that includes students, parents, representatives of education and the local community, to discuss the real reasons for this problem, and to suggest ways to address it, provided that a detailed report is submitted to the results of this meeting and the recommendations reached to his office within days.
For its part, Amal Al -Hawari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Beni Suef, confirmed the implementation of the governor’s assignments immediately, explaining that a technical committee has been formed to review the school students’ answers, who numbered 60 students, including 14 students who were absent from performing the exam, stressing that the competent committee will end its work soon, while emphasizing that the results reflect the actual educational reality inside the school, in light of a strict commitment to not allow any Expectations related to fraud or manipulation of exam results.
