A source in the Football Association revealed some developments regarding the expected changes within the main referees committee of the Football Association during the coming period.
The new formations of the referees committee
The source explained to Cairo 24 that the formation of the referees committee in the new season will join two or 3 new members to a maximum.
The source pointed out that the recent period witnessed the presentation of some of the names of the candidates to join the Referees Committee on the Colombian Oscar Ruiz, and the CV of these candidates was also presented to the Colombian expert to choose the most appropriate ones to include them to the membership of the Referees Committee in its new formation in preparation for the next football season.
The source emphasized that the selection of the new formation of the referees committee will take place after the return of Oscar Ruiz to Egypt, as he will hold a session with Eng. Hani Aburaida, Chairman of the Board of the Football Association, during which the names nominated to join the membership of the Referees Committee will be reviewed in preparation for resolving the new formation of the committee.
The source added that some of the names nominated to join the membership of the Referees Committee are former referees and some of them who retired from the arbitration at the end of the current season and the previous season.
The Colombian Oscar Ruiz has traveled out of Egypt since the beginning of this month, as it participates in the FIFA camp to prepare the referees participating in the management of the Club World Cup matches, and Oscar Ruiz is one of the primary arbitration lecturers accredited to FIFA and is permanently participated in the referees preparation camps before the major international championships.
