Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, made two phone calls today, Tuesday, with Steve Whittkov, the American Special President’s envoy to the Middle East and Abbas Araqji, the Iranian Foreign Minister, as part of the President’s directives to intensify the communications and efforts made to stop the military escalation between Israel and Iran.
Abdel -Ati stresses the need to work to reduce escalation in the region
Ambassador Tamim Tamim Khalaf, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Abdel -Ati stressed the need to work to reduce the escalation in the region and resort to diplomatic and political solutions, in a way that contributes to containing the crisis situation, and neutralizing the risk of igniting the conditions in a comprehensive manner in the Middle East.
Abdel -Ati stressed the need to work on an immediate ceasefire and return to the path of negotiations as the only way to reach a sustainable agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.
Minister Abdel -Ati stressed the absence of military solutions to the crises in the region, stressing the need to work to prevent the expansion of the conflict and the region slipping into a comprehensive chaos that will cause harm to all parties.
