The Municipal Council of the northern region unanimously approved two proposals for the representative of the twelfth district, Zainab Al -Drazi, which are the urgency in implementing the project to establish and develop the coast of Damistan with an area of ​​12223 square meters in the 1017 complex, and the construction of a port near the coast.

Al -Darazi stressed that, in light of the national trend in providing a sustainable urban environment and enhancing the quality of life for citizens, a new site has been allocated to create a coast that serves the people of the Damistan region, stressing that this project comes in response to an urgent need by the local community.

It indicated that one of the most prominent components of the proposed coast is the afforestation of the coast and the cultivation of trees for shading restaurants and stalls paths for walking, children’s games area, toilets and “shores” for swimming, night beach beach to shower security cameras, guidelines, security guard, chapel for women and men, parking lots, and noted that the proposal will contribute to stimulating the local economy to encourage Small projects, promoting domestic tourism and attracting visitors to preserve the environment and develop it achieve a geographical balance promoting societal identity, and providing an entertainment outlet for the population.

She added: One of the most prominent goals of the proposal is to provide the free space for the people and enjoy the recreational activities, and to turn the region to a vibrant destination, in addition to supporting small commercial projects.

As for its proposal to establish a port in the service of the people of the village of Damistan, it confirmed that the region’s fishermen suffer from the absence of an equipped and safe port for the bouquets; Which forces them to asylum, farmers, far and unqualified, which in turn threaten their safety, and reduces the efficiency of their work.

Al -Darazi said that the port will contribute to activating the local economy through fishing activities, boat maintenance, and marketing marine products, in addition to being contributing to preserving the local maritime heritage.
