Luxor Governorate began implementing an expanded plan to rationalize electricity consumption, which included mitigating public lighting in the streets and squares of Luxor by up to 60%, without damaging the elements of safety and traffic safety, within the framework of procedures aimed at reducing electricity consumption during the summer months.
Separate the current from government buildings at 8 pm
It was decided to separate electricity from buildings and government agencies daily starting at eight in the evening, in a move aimed at rationalizing energy effectively without affecting the efficiency of work or providing services to citizens.
Extinguishing ads and summer closure dates app
The decisions also included preventing the lighting of advertising panels in the streets during the period from nine in the evening until twelve midnight, while adhering to the summer dates to close the shops and commercial malls, in implementation of the decisions of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
The campaign “Your Consumption of your need” is awareness of citizens
In conjunction with the plan, a mass awareness campaign entitled “Your consumption may need you” was launched, aimed at raising the awareness of citizens of the need to reduce energy consumption in homes and workplaces, which reflects positively on the stability of the electrical network.
The goal of the plan: Avoid power outages in light of the high loads
Through these measures, the government seeks to avoid resorting to the separation of the electrical current, especially in light of the high loads during the summer period, the growing use of electrical appliances, and the high temperatures at the governorate level.
