The Fund Control and Treatment of Addiction and Treatment of Sohag continued its campaigns on the streets of Juhayna, and the Al -Gomhoria Street and the old market area in Juhayna were targeted to raise awareness among citizens of the dangers of use and addiction to narcotic substances.
This was in the presence of the Fund Control and Treatment of Addiction and Treatment in Sohag led by Mr. Raqab, and Mohamed Al -Dagl, Director of Public Relations in the local unit.
Awareness against the dangers of addiction in Sohag
During the campaign, citizens of shop owners, motorists, motorcycles, and passers -by on eastern and western orchards were targeted, where young people were educated about the damage of drug use, and the correction of false concepts about the fact that drugs help to focus and forget the concerns and other wrong beliefs.
Also raising the awareness of children of smoking damage, especially passive smoking, avoiding the presence of children in places where smokers are present, and raising the awareness of children not to imitate those who smoke or those who use narcotic substances for their risk to health, the therapeutic role of the Fund for the Control and Treatment of Addiction through the hotline 16023 that provides treatment in complete confidentiality and for free, and what leads addiction to the loss and waste of human resources and influence on Work and production.
This comes within the national plan to combat the phenomenon of addiction and drug use implemented by the Addiction Treatment Fund, which is adopted by the state within the framework of efforts to build human beings and preserve the health and safety of citizens, and in implementation of the directives of Major General Abdel Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, and under the supervision of Mamdouh Abbas, head of the Juhayna Center and City.
