A number of stray dogs are spread within the courtyard of the Ancient Egypt Hospital, which is affiliated with the therapeutic institution, and in the parking spaces, in violation of the requirements for controlling infection and occupational safety and health standards.

The presence of these non -fortified animals causes continuous harassment of workers and patients who are hesitant at the hospital, amid demands from the facility administration that the Veterinary Medicine Directorate should intervene to deal with the situation and take the necessary measures to get rid of them.
A source familiar with the hospital administration – who asked not to be named – revealed that the dogs enter the courtyard of the facility from the entrance overlooking Amr bin Al -Aas Street, near the subway development work site, in the absence of iron doors that close this entrance.
The source explained to Cairo 24, that the hospital administration addressed the veterinary medicine more than once to intervene and prevent the frequent entry of dogs, as the workers tried to spend themselves, but to no avail, which exacerbates the crisis within the facility.
Earlier, Dr. Mohamed Al -Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, chaired the committee for evaluating directors and agents of the directorates of health affairs in the governorates, formed by a decision of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the committee was formed with the aim of preparing a list of the annual movement for the functions of the directors and agents of the directorates of health affairs, which are announced, during the month of July of each year.
