Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Wadi Al -Natrun Specialist Hospital, accompanied by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of the lake.

Upon the arrival of the Prime Minister to the hospital, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar made a presentation on the health map of the Beheira Governorate, explaining that the governorate includes 75 hospitals, with a total of 5418 beds, including 865 concentrated care beds (senior and children), and the governorate hospitals also include 32 blood banks (senior and children), 274 operating rooms, 1124 dialysis machines, 470 industrial respirators, and 774 Children’s custody.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, the Minister of Health and Population added that in the governorate there are 456 units/basic care center, 140 ambulances, 75 ambulance points, 74 CT scannings, 13 mammograms and 25 magnetic resonance rays.

He pointed out that the conservation has more than 4 thousand doctors, 2753 dentists, 4879 pharmacists, about a thousand physiotherapists, 15154 nursing individuals, and 2853 radiologists, laboratory and chemists.

“Abdel Ghaffar” presented a detailed statement in government hospitals in the various centers in Beheira Governorate, and also reviewed the position of completion of presidential initiatives in the governorate during the period from July 2024 to May 2025.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the initiative to discover, treat weakness and loss of hearing benefited 101871 citizens, and the anemia and dwarf initiative provided 729943 citizens, while 60,3365 citizens benefited from the initiative to discover and treat chronic diseases and virgin detection of renal illness.

He continued: The initiative of early detection of cancerous tumors provided its services to 769900 citizens.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, the Minister of Health and Population, also presented the health sector projects that have ended from 2014 until 2025, explaining that the total value of these projects amounted to about 885 million pounds, and the projects being implemented, which include hospitals: Badr Al -Marka, Abu Homs, Issa Issa, chest diseases in Damanhour, the health and development center In addition to a number of other projects, the total value of the projects being implemented is about 4 billion pounds.

After that, the Prime Minister listened to an explanation about Wadi Al -Natrun Specialist Hospital, its equipment and expansion, presented by Dr. Bassam Al -Gohary, Director General of the Hospital.

In this regard, Al-Gohary explained that the hospital is located in the 101 km on the Alexandria-Cairo desert road, on an area of ​​23 thousand square meters, while the buildings are located on an area of ​​4 thousand square meters.

The hospital’s general manager added 38 internal beds, 16 concentrated care beds, 16 emergency beds, 6 nurseries and 15 dialysis units, explaining that it includes the hospital 106 doctors in various specialties, 102 pharmacists, 10 dentists, 8 physiotherapists, and 238 nursing individuals.

He explained that the hospital’s medical specialties include interior, surgery, women, obstetrics, children, ophthalmology, bones, brain, leather, dental, dialysis, physiotherapy, radiology and laboratories.

He pointed out that the hospital is participating in the implementation of presidential initiatives, reviewing the hospital’s contribution rate in a number of initiatives from its start to April 2025, explaining that the hospital provided its services to 1167 patients within the initiative to eliminate hepatic viruses, and for 1790 cases within the evening clinic initiative, and for 246 patients within the women’s health initiative, and for 100 cases within the Cancer Oncology Initiative.

The Prime Minister then moved to inspect the medical unit from a distance at Wadi Al -Natrun Specialized Hospital, where Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar indicated that there are 300 units of medicine from remoteness in the accident and emergency departments where a link and follow -up of cases with distant hospitals is done.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly watched a mechanism to follow up with one of the doctors abroad through a remote medical unit.

“Abdul Ghaffar” explained that the service has a major role in enhancing the quality of health services and scientific linkage between medical universities and scientific conferences, which enhances and raises the quality of the medical services provided.

The minister added: The health sector in Egypt has witnessed a great development in recent years, and the Corona’s pandemic was a role in accelerating dependence on modern medical technology, especially the diagnostic and medical treatment units for distance, as this technology has effectively contributed to improving the quality of health services, especially in remote areas, as well as enhancing the bonding between basic care units and university hospitals, which helped provide more efficient and speed medical care.

He continued: The Minister of Health and Population that the diagnostic units of distance played a major role in reducing congestion in hospitals: by providing a distance medical consulting, which helped reduce the mixing of patients and reduce the chances of infection spread, and reach patients in remote areas, especially in the governorates that suffer from the lack of accurate medical specialties, as these units enabled patients to obtain an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment without the need To move long distances.

“Abdul Ghaffar” stressed that this service contributes to facilitating the continuous follow -up of cases of home insulation, as doctors enables patients to follow up remotely, and provide the necessary medical directives, which contributed to reducing pressure on hospitals, as it enhances the efficiency of medical personnel by providing training and consulting between doctors in various hospitals through modern communication techniques, and also contributed to reducing the costs of travel and treatment, where patients are no longer It needs to move long distances to obtain specialized medical consultations, as well as its role in enhancing the ability to deal with chronic diseases through the continuous follow -up of patients from distance, such as diabetics and heart disease.

The Prime Minister also inspected the hospital’s dialysis department, where the hospital’s general manager indicated that the department is working with a capacity of 21 dialysis machinery and 15 beds, and that he was working at a rate of 3 shifts per day.

While inspecting the dialysis department, the patients offered the Prime Minister some demands to facilitate their treatment, and immediately Dr. Mustafa Madbouly directed to provide what the hospital’s dialysis patients demand in a way that contributes to providing the best medical service to them.

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly then moved to inspect the emergency and accidents department, where Dr. Bassam Al -Gohary explained that this section includes 16 emergency beds, and receives accidents throughout the day, and that it is equipped with the latest devices and all accurate medical and surgical specialties.

At the end of the Prime Minister’s tour of Wadi Al -Natrun Hospital, the possibility of expanding the hospital was discussed by exploiting a plot of land adjacent to the hospital, which contributes to absorbing more cases that need treatment in various specialties.
