A new leap in gold prices locally after the escalation of tensions in the Middle East

In the same context, Ihab Wasef, head of the Division of Gold and Prepared Minerals of the Federation of Industries, said that global markets are witnessing a state of great concern due to the developments of the conflict in the Middle East, which prompted gold prices to record huge leaps of more than 1.4%, while increasing investors’ demand for safe havens.

The head of the Gold Division added that the markets began to prosecute more pessimistic scenarios, which prompted global institutions to determine new targets for the price of gold that may exceed 3500 dollars an ounce if the military escalation continues and extends to include other regional parties.
