The final stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for the North, Central America and Caribbean (CONCACAF) qualifiers (CONCACAF) was conducted, amid a great anticipation of the aspiring teams to reserve the appearance ticket in the historical version of the World Cup, which is held for the first time with the participation of 48 teams and is hosted by three countries: the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.

Each team will play the home and return matches against its competitors in its group during the international stops for the month of September, October and November. The first each group qualifies directly to the 2026 World Cup.
An additional opportunity for second place owners
There will be an additional opportunity for the best teams from second -placed, as they will qualify for the decisive continental qualifiers next March, in an attempt to kidnap an additional card that qualifies them to the World Cup via the supplement. And if one of them succeeds in crossing from the global attachment, the number of CONCACAF representatives in the World Cup may rise to eight teams for the first time.
Historical participation and a new reality
This final stage is witnessing the participation of five unnides teams to qualify for the World Cup, namely: Sorinam, Nicaragua, Korasaw, Bermuda, and Guatemala. It is also the first time that four teams – Surinam, Nicaragua, Korasaw, Bermuda – this advanced role of qualifiers, reflects a remarkable change in the map of power within the union.
10 out of 12 countries also participate in this stage in the 2025 Golden Cup championship, which is scheduled to start this week, with the exception of Nicarajoa and Bermuda.
A new history of Conakakaf in the World Cup 2026
With the guarantee of the qualification of the United States, Canada and Mexico teams automatically as the host countries, three teams are added to them from this final stage, with the possibility of joining other elected via the attachment, raising the representation of CONCACAF to 6 or even 8 teams, which is an unprecedented number in the history of the federation.
