The security services at the Ashmoun Police Station in Menoufia Governorate managed to arrest a woman who threw her infant inside a mosque in the village of Kafr El -Gharib, affiliated to the Center’s Department, in an incident that sparked a state of controversy and resentment among the villagers during the past days.

A source for Cairo 24 revealed that the accused lady has been married for a while and was not provided with children, and she conducted a microscopic injection operation but she did not succeed, then she was associated with an illegal relationship with another person and carried him, and she tried to persuade her husband that the fetus is the result of the microscopic injection process, but the husband doubted the matter and asked to conduct a DNA analysis, and threatened her to get rid of the child, which prompted her to make her decision to leave the child.
A report to find a baby inside a mosque in Menoufia
Details of the incident dates back to last Wednesday, when a number of worshipers found a baby about 3 months old inside the Badr Mosque adjacent to the village station, after the afternoon prayer.
Witnesses said that one of the worshipers heard the child’s crying next to one of the pillars of the mosque after the end of the prayer, which surprised the attendees, especially since the child was not seen inside the mosque during the performance of the prayer, and none of the families recognized him, so the security services were immediately informed.
Major General Menoufia Security, Menoufia, received a notification from Brigadier General Mohamed Abu Al -Azm, the warden of Ashmoun Police Station, that a report was received from the people to find the infant inside the mosque, where a security force moved to the site of the communication and the examination and investigation work began to determine the identity of the incident.
After reviewing the surveillance cameras located in the vicinity of the mosque and conducting the necessary investigations, the detectives were able to identify and seize the accused woman, while the child was transferred to Ashmoun General Hospital and placed under the auspices of the competent authorities.
A report of the incident was issued, and the investigation authorities that started the investigations were notified, with the continued completion of the necessary legal procedures against the accused.
