Christian Kivu is a new technical director of Inter Milan to succeed Izaji before the World Cup clubs

In a move that reflects the confidence of the Inter Milan administration in his past and leadership personality, the Italian club announced the appointment of Romanian Christian Kivu as a new coach for the first team, to lead “Nerazzurri” in a new stage starting from the 2025 Club World Cup.

Inter club confirmed through its official website that Christian Kivu will lead the first team under a contract that extends until June 30, 2027, after the departure of the Italian Simeone Enzaji, who broke his contract by mutual consent to take over the training of Al Hilal Saudi Club. The technical change came days before the start of the World Cup club, which reflects the importance of the next stage, which requires a coach who knows very well the identity of the club.

Kivu’s trip with Nerazzurri

Kivu’s return to Inter comes within the framework of a long relationship that brought him together as a player and coach. He defended the colors of the team since 2007 coming from Rome, and it was part of the golden generation that crowned the historic trilogy 2009-2010 season under the leadership of Portuguese Jose Mourinho, where he won the Italian League title, the Italian Cup, and the Champions League.

After his retirement, Kivu began working inside the walls of Inter as a junior coach, then took the leadership of the “Premavira” team, and succeeded in his leadership to crown the Italian Youth League title in 2022. In the 2023/2024 season he had a short experience with Parma, during which he managed to save the team to land in just 13 games, to confirm his readiness to have a greater training experience.

Preparations for the Club World Cup

Inter is preparing to start his career in the 2025 Club World Cup, held in the United States of America, where he was drawn in a group that includes Monterrey Mexican, Japanese Urawa, and Paris Saint -Germain.
