Dr. Tariq Al -Houbi, Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority, stressed that the political leadership headed by President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, in coordination with the Prime Minister, attaches the utmost importance to ensure the safety and safest of all food commodities circulated in the Egyptian markets, in order to preserve the health and safety of the Egyptian consumer.
Al -Houbi: clear directions to tighten control over all stages of the food chain
Al -Houbi said during a video of the Cabinet Information Center: “The leadership orientations are clear and explicit that control over all stages of the food chain, from manufacturing to sale to trading, to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality.”
He pointed out that the authority, as the authority specialized in the food system in Egypt, ensures the follow -up of each of the production and distribution series, including food facilities and sales points, adding that there are continuous supervisory efforts aimed at controlling markets and ensuring the safety of products completely.
The head of the commission explained that these measures come within the framework of the Egyptian state’s message and its strong political leadership, which confirms that the safe food products displayed in the Egyptian market, and it mainly aims to protect the health of the Egyptian consumer and enhance its confidence in the local product.
