This communication comes after the circulation of leaflets on the social networking site “Facebook” in which the artists expressed some personal feelings related to their experience in the artistic community, and the human reflections that accompanied it that received a wide interaction from the followers and the public, and sparked waves of sympathy and support.
The Minister of Culture affirmed that the ministry appreciates the symbols of Egyptian art and is keen on permanent communication with them, stressing that the artists represent one of the pillars of the Egyptian soft power that contributes to building awareness and enhancing belonging.

In a different context and in a quick response to the demands of filmmakers and theater, the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, announced, Minister of CultureHusing the implementation of the decision to increase the fees on artistic works, and return to work with previous fees.
He also called on the minister to hold an urgent session with the concerned authorities to review and amend decisions in a manner that does not harm the film and theater industry in Egypt.
The minister affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to support and develop the film and theater industry, stressing the importance of a balance between collecting fees and supporting artistic creativity.
