Dr. Sherif Mahdi, Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at the Institute of Medical Research at the National Research Center, warned of some wrong habits scattered during Eid al -Adha, which may lead to serious skin diseases.
A doctor warns of wrong leather practices on Eid al -Adha: Al -Darnia, Tenia and Al -Satan are the most prominent risks
He explained that one of the most prominent of these habits is to place hands or heels of the feet in the blood of sacrifices, or wipe the face with their skins, stressing that these practices transmit microbes, viruses and fungi that may cause skin infections, and diseases such as a leather tuberculosis accompanied by a painful ulceration, and the stroke caused by the HPV virus, as well as tinia or pumpkin, which are infectious fungi that lead to hair loss.
He added that the increasing demand for barber and beauty salons before the feast increases the possibility of bacterial and fungal infections, in addition to the sensitivity of the skin caused by the use of dyes or henna that contain harmful substances such as coal drops (PPD).
He stressed the need to avoid contact with sacrificial skins, the use of personal tools in shaving, and the application of sunscreen before going out to parks, to avoid skin diseases associated with the Eid season.
