A special approach that the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Eng. Karim Badawi, pursued in expanding the circle of social responsibility in all governorates, aware that society has a right to this vital sector in performing its responsibilities towards it, and believing that what is presented is “reward for our Lord.”
During the last period, I followed the efforts made by the Ministry of Petroleum in the field of social responsibility, which varied in many fields, in addition to the continuous movement between the governorates by the engineer Yasmine Naguib and Fatima Ibrahim, officials of community responsibility at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Engineer Medhat Shaaban Assistant Chairman of the Authority for Social Responsibility, and their keenness to be imprints of the sector. Not just a formal sharing.
Among these efforts is what Eng. Hisham Fathi, President of the Suez Petroleum Manufacturing Company, did from the development of the Al -Nour School for the Blind in the Suez Governorate with the aim of creating an appropriate and safe educational environment for children with special capabilities.
My theory drew attention to the recently done by Elap from the rehabilitation and development of 30 homes from the woven homes in the village of Mustafa Kamel to convert them into safe and human houses suitable for housing for the most needy families and the project was not limited to developing houses only, but also included providing them with furniture and electrical appliances, and initiatives for economic empowerment for the villagers by providing 50 small projects in areas such as groceries and sewing Clothes and providing 36 heads of tenth buffalo cattle in addition to providing 35 new hunting boats for fishermen.
In the field of supporting the health sector, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources supported the hospitals of the Ministry of Health and the most in need of 11 fixed custody, 2 mobile nurseries and 8 industrial breathing devices for newborns, along with some other devices in the governorates of North Sinai, Qena, the Red Sea and Alexandria. The Ministry also supported the Women and Children Hospital of Minya University with 8 nations and medical devices provided by the Petroleum Hospital in Alexandria and the Medical Center For those working in the oil sector in Cairo, to provide a distinguished medical service that contributes to improving the health conditions of the most needy societies, and many distinguished initiatives.
