He added: This day was called “perfusion” because people were honest in it, as they were supplied with water in preparation for the coming days. For several reasons:

  • Preparing for rituals: The pilgrims were preparing to go to Arafa and Mona, which are places far from Makkah Al -Mukarramah, in which there are no water sources.
  • I saw the souls and animals: they drank the water in abundance and watered their camels and their animals, as they were watering the sacrifices that they would slaughter in Mina on the day of slaughter.
  • Fill the water in the narrators: They were carrying water in the “narrators”, which is the skin proximity that is used to carry the water, as they fill it from Mecca and carry it with them to the places of the rituals.

He stated that it was said that the naming of the day of al -Tarwiyah is linked to the story of our master Ibrahim, peace be upon him, with the blessed vision, which was as follows:

  • The first night – the night of the seventh of Dhu al -Hijjah: On the night of the seventh of Dhu al -Hijjah (which precedes the day of al -Tarwiyah), our master Abraham, peace be upon him, saw in his dream that God Almighty commands him to slaughter his son Ismail.
  • Al -Tarwiyah Day – the eighth of Dhu al -Hijjah: Our Master Ibrahim became narrated and thought throughout this day: Is this dream from God Almighty or from Satan? He remained from the morning until evening contemplating and thinking about the nature of this vision.
  • The second night – the night of the ninth (the night of Arafa): On the second night, our master Ibrahim saw the same vision again, so he realized that it is from God Almighty and not from Satan.
  • On the day of Arafa – the ninth of Dhu al -Hijjah: That is why the next day was called “the day of Arafa” because our master Abraham knew and realized that the vision is a right from God Almighty.
  • The third night – the night of slaughter: On the third night, he saw the same vision for the third time, so he rose and determined to implement the command of God Almighty.
