Dr. Ashraf Tadros, a professor of astronomy at the National Institute for Astronomical Research, stated that the moon will be seen on Monday evening, June 3, 2025 in the first spring phase, where only half its tablet illuminates by 50%, and appears in the middle of the sky at sunset.

Tadros explained that “the bright part of the moon in this phase always indicates the direction of the West, that is, the sun’s location – even if the sun has been absent from the horizon,” noting that the moon is moving gradually towards the west throughout the night until it begins the sunset around the middle of the night.
He added that the first phase is one of the most appropriate times to monitor the moon, as lunar highlands and nozzles appear clearly thanks to the long shades on its surface, which makes it an ideal scene for amateurs and astronomical photographers.
