The incident of controlling expired foodstuffs in Bahrain was not in the first of its kind, but it was distinguished from its predecessors with the extension of its chronological impact to an unknown period, especially after the disclosure of goods that expired more than three years ago. The extent of these goods has yet been known to the hands of consumers.
Some have tried to disperse the national ranks and turn the incident into a sectarian trend, in a desperate attempt to defend the mistake, although what happened is not just a transient error but rather a continuous and complex crime.
The corrupt goods were distributed to the various stores and refrigerators of Bahrain, which raised the concern of merchants and suppliers and prompted them to review their stores and ensure the safety of their products.
I do not understand why some people resort to questioning the justice institutions that we all trust. The Ministry of Interior, the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, all of which work within the framework of the law and transparently, and it is not logical to attack those parties that rushed to protect society, and warned against circulation or consumption of food items that may be corrupt or on their way to damage.
Is it not better for these people to imagine if one of their loved ones had a disease due to these commodities – God forbid – so would they continue to mislead them and their attack on community protection teams? Or does the matter not concern them as long as they are not affected by them personally?
I never doubt that a large percentage of the voices that have risen to question this issue, either from outside Bahrain, or who work within agendas seeking to harm the homeland. These are not concerned with the health of the citizen. Rather, they seek to poison the entire country to achieve their sordid goals.
They have clearly proven that they do not carry a national project, not even rational in the offering, and that what they do is nothing more than a vast futility. Whoever dares to attack the efforts of protecting society, is in a losing battle in front of the awareness of the Bahraini people.
Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect and preserve him, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God preserve him, have been keen to consolidate the state of institutions and law, and enact legislation that preserves the security and safety of society, without discrimination or exception.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has played its national role in protecting the market and consumers from manipulation and greed, and the Public Prosecution came to announce the name of the company involved, in order to preserve the health of citizens and residents and warn them against dealing with these goods.
Why did we hear the voices of cacophony that have no concern except to cause confusion and strike the national unity that he founded and built and nurtured the leader of the country? The conscious citizen ignored these voices, and realized its malicious intentions.
And I say it explicitly: You have failed years ago, and you will not have a list after today. Bahrain today is united, wrapped around its wise leadership, trusts in the decisions of its institutions, and encourages all other government agencies to follow the example of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Public Prosecution in performing its national duty, without hesitation, in order to preserve the country and society.
