The classification of the Arab Gulf Journal for Scientific Research, issued by the Arab Gulf University, increased in the new review of scientific journals by the Skimago platform for the classification of magazines, as the magazine rose in the SJR classification of 2024 from the fourth quarter (Q4) to the second quarter (Q2), in a qualitative shift that is the best in the history of the magazine that extends for more than forty years.

According to the modern indicators published on the Skimago site for the year 2024, the SJR index rose to 0.343, after it was 0.181 in 2023 and 0.104 in 2022, the highest record number of its record since its foundation.

His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fahid, expressed his pride in this progress, stressing that this achievement reflects the development of the quality of research published in the magazine, the high impact in the scientific community, and the increase in the number of custody of it as a reliable scientific source, which enhances its position among prestigious scientific journals.

For his part, the editor -in -chief of the magazine, Professor Dr. Wahib Al -Nasser, explained that this upgrading in the classification came as a result of the continuous support from the President of the University and his two deputies, the cooperation of the deans of the kidneys and their affiliates, and the International Consultative Committee of the magazine, in addition to the active partnership with the global publishing house Emerald, as well as the efforts of the editorial board and the participating editors and international arbitrators whose expertise and their global spread in promoting the presence of the magazine contributed to the presence of the magazine And its effect.

During the year 2024, the magazine witnessed qualitative leaps in performance indicators, which was the increase in the number of conflicts for each document during the periods of the two, three and four years, and the increase in the total number of categories to 275 compared to 78 in 2023 and 9 only in 2022, in addition to the growth of the number of research published to 128 papers, which reflects a significant development in scientific productivity, and the number of self -categories reached only 20, This confirms the strength of outpatients and the rise of the magazine’s effect globally.

This achievement is an important station in the magazine’s march, and enhances the position of the Arab Gulf University as a pioneering research institution, and opens wider horizons for scientific cooperation at the regional and international levels.
