Egypt’s exports of ready -made clothes recorded significant growth during the first 4 months of 2025, achieving $ 1.028 billion, compared to 840 million dollars during the same period in 2024, an increase of 22%, according to the report of the Export Council for ready -made clothes.

The council’s data showed that April exports Solo jumped by 25% to record 223 million dollars, compared to $ 179 million in April 2024, while March 2025 increased 23% to record exports of $ 254 million.
According to the report, the United States of America topped the list of imported markets of $ 384 million during the period from January to April 2025 compared to $ 345 million, an increase of 11% over the same period from 2024, and Europe came second with 259 million dollars compared to 186 million dollars, achieving a remarkable growth of 39%.
While exports to Arab countries grew to record 190 million dollars compared to $ 180 million, an increase of 6%, while exports of clothing to African countries (except for the Arab countries), achieved the highest growth rate of 101%.
And I witnessed Ready -made clothes exports To the rest of the world, a 50%jump, to record 190 million dollars, compared to only 127 million dollars during the first 4 months of 2024.
Engineer Fadel Marzouk, head of the Export Council for Ready -made clothes, said that this great growth reflects the positive performance of the sector and continuous recovery in ready -made clothes exports and confirms the application of the plan to increase exports pursued by 30 to 35% annually.
He pointed out that the growth came supported by the improvement of global demand and the expansion of the export base, in addition to the efforts of the Export Council for ready -made clothes in opening new markets and diversifying the sources of demand.
Engineer Fadel Marzouq stressed that these positive results reflect intensive efforts to improve the competitiveness of the Egyptian product, support producers and exporters through multiple initiatives that include training, expanding the base of small and medium -sized companies, external promotion and resolving obstacles facing export.
He pointed out that the future plan aims to double exports during the coming years until 2031 to reach exports to 12 billion dollars, through expansion in African and Asian markets, and the exploitation of trade agreements that characterize Egypt, in addition to focusing on enhancing added value, modernizing production lines and launching two cities for fabric and clothing in Fayoum and Minya.
He pointed to the continuation of communication and coordination with the relevant government agencies with the aim of continuing the support provided to the sector, especially in the files of the burdens, solving the problems of shipping and logistics, and facilitating access to financing at reasonable prices, which enhances the chances of increasing export and providing foreign currency.
