Within the framework of joint cooperation and the ongoing efforts in promoting awareness and spreading public safety culture, the Community Service Police Division of the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate in cooperation with the Department of Protection and Safety of the General Administration of Civil Defense carried out an awareness and inspection campaign on fire prevention that included a number of markets and shops in various areas of Muharraq Governorate.
This campaign comes in conjunction with the beginning of the summer, which increases the possibility of accidents related to high temperatures and fires, with the aim of raising the level of awareness and spreading the culture of public safety.
During the campaign, the owners of restaurants and shops were introduced to the security and safety requirements that must be followed to prevent accidents, in addition to providing instructions on the correct ways to use fire extinguishers. The campaign also included ensuring the integrity of electrical extensions, and taking into account the placing of gas cylinders in appropriate places according to safety requirements.
