Issa bin Salman: The importance of alignment with plans and initiatives aimed at enhancing the position of national cadres

His Highness Sheikh Issa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emotion of Issa bin Salman Al -Khairi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labor Fund, stressed the importance of continuing to invest in the supply of the labor market with qualified national cadres, by creating opportunities that enhance their skills and their ability to excel and creativity in all fields, in order to support the achievement of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister.

His Highness pointed to the importance of alignment with plans and initiatives aimed at enhancing the position of national cadres, such as the first and ideal in the labor market, which contributes to enabling them to fill future jobs, especially in sectors that are based on technical skills and artificial intelligence applications.

This came when His Highness headed the meeting of the Board of the Labor Fund “Tamkeen” for the second quarter of 2025, during which the most prominent achievements of the fund were reviewed for the first half of this year, and strategic priorities, as well as the developments of support related to the three major initiatives that include: support for new entrants to the labor market, support job development, and institution support.

During the meeting, His Highness also directed the implementation of a number of initiatives and programs that support emerging, small and medium enterprises in adopting modern technologies and tools to develop their business within this field, in a way that contributes to enhancing the innovation and entrepreneurship environment. This step comes as a continuation of what was announced during the meeting of the Board of Directors in the first quarter, targeting the support of 50,000 Bahraini in the areas of artificial intelligence.

During the meeting, Maha Abdel Hamid Moufiz, CEO of the “Tamkeen” labor fund, presented a presentation on the most prominent achievements that were implemented during the first half of this year, where support was provided to 7700 Bahraini through programs that contribute to their integration into the labor market, and more than 9200 Bahraini within programs that aim to raise skills and job development, in addition to supporting more than 3,600 institutions from various sectors and development sizes, within the programs that It enhances growth, digitization and productivity.

The Board of Directors was briefed on the most prominent plans that will be worked on during the coming period, in light of the strategic priorities for this year, which is to enhance the status and competitiveness of the Bahraini citizen in the private sector, and provide Bahrainis with the appropriate skills for job development in this sector, as well as granting priority for the growth, concealment, sustainability of institutions, and support for the environmental system to enhance the effectiveness of the labor market and the private sector, in a way that contributes to enhancing the economic impact and sustainable growth.
