The head of the Drug Crime Unit stated that the first major criminal court issued a ruling today to punish three defendants of life imprisonment, fining each of them five thousand dinars, punishing the fourth accused with a period of ten years, fining him five thousand dinars, and punishing the fifth accused with imprisonment for a year and fining him a thousand dinars, with the first defendant removing the Kingdom of Bahrain permanently after the execution of the sentence, and also ruled to confiscate the seizures.
The Public Prosecution had received a notification from the Department of Narcotics Control of the Ministry of Interior to control a neurotic formation that cultivates narcotic substances inside a residential building with the intention of trafficking, and immediately after the notification was received, the Public Prosecution began its investigations and a team of it moved to the residential building in place By using advanced agricultural techniques and tools, the Public Prosecution also listened to the witnesses of the incident, interrogated the accused and ordered their reserves pending the investigation, and the experts dedicated to examining the seizures.
Investigations revealed the sale of the defendants to the outcome of the cultivation of these narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking, and the market value of the seized narcotic substances was estimated at more than one million Bahraini dinars, and the investigations of the drug control and financial investigations department confirmed that those accused of trafficking in narcotic substances.
After the investigations ended and the accusation of the accusation, the Public Prosecution ordered that the defendants be referred to the criminal trial, which issued its advanced ruling.
