The Saudi Minister of Health, Fahd Al -Jaljel, revealed that the health pilgrimage system increased the clinical energy to deal with any emergency cases of pilgrims by 60%, compared to last year, announcing the equipment of 3 field hospitals with a capacity of more than 1,200 beds.
At the same time, he pointed out that the Saudi Ministry of Health has not yet monitored any epidemics between pilgrims, explaining that Saudi Arabia is keen to set the health requirements necessary to protect pilgrims.
In the same context, the minister announced the provision of 11 air evacuation aircraft to deal with the emergency cases of pilgrims, in addition to providing 900 ambulances and 71 medical points in the holy sites, as mentioned in the government press conference in Riyadh.
The Minister of Health added that the ministry will provide pilgrims with critical cases with smart sensors linked to the largest virtual health hospital of its kind in the world, and Al -Jaljel said: “We performed 140 surgeries, and 65 heart catheters for pilgrims.” He added: “We have provided more than 50 thousand health services through 14 outlets.”
