The International Committee of the Red Cross reported that two of its collaborators were killed on Saturday in a blow to their home in the Gaza Strip.
“We are shocked to kill our dear colleagues Ibrahim Eid and Ahmed Abu Hilal … today we renew our urgent call for respecting and protecting civilians in Gaza,” the agency “France Press” quoted the International Committee as saying through the “X” platform.
According to the Red Cross, “Ibrahim was a specialist in explosive munition pollution, while Ahmed was a security guard at the Red Red Cross Hospital in Rafah.”
The two men were killed by a raid on their home in Khan Yunis, south of the Palestinian Gaza Strip.
The organization considered that “their killing highlights the unacceptable number of civilian dead in Gaza.”
Since the start of the war, the number of Palestinian dead in Gaza reached 53,939, the majority of whom were civilians, and 122797 were injured.
At least 3,785 Palestinians have been killed since Israel resumed its strikes and military operations on March 18, after a fragile truce that lasted for two months, according to the latest toll reported on Sunday the Ministry of Health run by Hamas in Gaza.
