Graduation of 7 thousand students in 5 specialties from various academic levels
Since its establishment in 2001, the National University has written luminous semesters in the record of higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region, square on top of academic achievement and leadership of innovation, and confirmed its status as a scientific edifice that reflects the spirit of reform and progress during the era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country.
In an interview with pride and pride, the founding president and chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Abdullah Al -Hawaj, stressed that the university was never merely an academic institution, but rather a national development project based on quality and knowledge. He indicated that the National University has maintained an advanced position in international rankings.
Al -Ahlia ranked seventeenth Arabs in the general classification of the “Times” for the year 2024 among hundreds of Arab universities, and more than that, the university ranked tenth globally in the education quality index according to the “Times” classification itself.
It was also ranked by the «QS» index ranked 33 among the hundreds of Arab universities, while it came in the 711-720 category on the global scale, to achieve an advanced Arab and global rank.
Al-Hawaj added that the university has made unprecedented achievements in terms of international credits, as its business management programs obtained the accreditation of the distinguished AACSB, while its engineering and technological programs received the adoption of EUR-ACE and ABET, as well as academic confessions that grant university graduates according to which he exemptions from a large number of exams and papers required to obtain a number of professional certificates such as ACCA certificate and certificate Cin.
The university also enjoys the confidence of educational authorities in the Gulf states, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which made all the university’s undergraduate programs with a bachelor’s degree, master’s and doctorate within its recommended programs.
At the level of academic programs, the university embraces five colleges that include engineering, information technology, administrative and financial sciences, medical and health sciences, literature and sciences, a total of 24 academic programs, with bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees, all of which have obtained full confidence from the Education and Training Authority, and most of them are listed on the national framework of qualifications.
The university has been keen to keep abreast of the market requirements and its developments by creating modern specializations such as the doctorate of digital media and communication technology, and the Cyber Security Master, which mixes between academic knowledge and practical application that enhances the chances of graduates in the labor market.
For his part, the university president, Professor Mansour Al -Ali, indicated that the university places educational innovation at the center of its vision, as education is not limited to theoretical aspects, but also includes the integration of modern technical skills and applications.
He stressed that 88% of the university graduates get jobs during the first six months of graduation, which reflects the suitability of the university’s outputs with the needs of the local and international markets.
In the field of scientific research, the university has been keen since its foundation to adopt an ambitious research approach, as more than a thousand scientific papers were published in the global Scopus database, to be the National University in the forefront in this field.
The university also provides full support for students and researchers to publish their research in tight scientific journals, under the direct supervision of the Deanship of Scientific Research.
It is characterized by strong academic relations with universities and educational institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with strategic partnerships in a number of fields. The university also participates effectively in Gulf and regional forums, which reflects its growing role at the region level.
In confirmation of its commitment to educational justice, the university provides scholarships of up to 50% for multiple categories that include orphans, people with anxiety, and outstanding students. Students are the focus of the first attention in all university policies, which seek to enable them cognitively, professionally and humanly.
To this day, more than seven thousand male and female students from various academic levels graduated from the university, including prestigious personalities in public and private affairs, including ministers, ambassadors and business leaders, representing the best ambassadors of the university in society.
