The Senate has finally approved a draft law submitted by MP Abdel Hadi Al -Qasabi, and more than a tenth number of members of the House of Representatives for parties: the future of a homeland, the Republican people, Hama Watan, along with a number of independent representatives from members of the coordination of youth and politicians, amending some provisions of the Senate Law issued by Law No. 141 of 2020.
The full text to amend the Senate Law after its approval
The text of the draft law came as follows:
Article 1
It is replaced by texts: 3/ first paragraph 4/ the second paragraph, 11/ the second and fourth paragraphs of the Senate Law issued by Law No. (141) for the year 2020, the following texts:
Article 3 The first paragraph:
The Arab Republic of Egypt is divided into (37) circles devoted to election in the individual system, and the number of (4) departments devoted to election in the list, allocated to two districts, including (13) seats for each of them, and the other two departments are allocated to (37) seats for each of them, and the scope and components of each department are determined as indicated by the two tables attached to this law.
Article 4 the second paragraph
Each dedicated list of (13) seats must include at least three women, and each allocated list must include (37) seats at least seven women.
Article (11)
The second paragraph
The candidacy request is accompanied by the following documents:
A statement that includes the biography of the candidate, especially his scientific and practical experience.
Criminal status newspaper for the candidacy student.
Explain whether it is independent or belonging to a party, and the name of this party.
Approving a financial liability for him, his wife, and his short children.
The university qualification certificate or its equivalent at least.
A certificate of compulsory military service, or the exemption from its law.
The deposit of deposit of thirty thousand pounds, depositing the jurisdiction of the competent primary court as insurance.
Other documents specified by the National Elections Authority to prove the availability of the conditions it requires
The law to run.
Fourth paragraph
The provisions stipulated in the first, second and third paragraphs of this article apply to the lists candidates, provided that the representative of the electoral list takes their candidacy measures with a request submitted to the form prepared by the National Elections Authority accompanied by the documents determined by the National Elections Authority to prove the status of each candidate in the list, and by receiving the deposit of an amount of thirty -nine thousand pounds in an insurance for the list allocated to it, 13 seats, and one hundred And eleven thousand pounds for the allocated list for 37 seats.
Article Two
It is replaced by the schedule of the election districts with the individual system and the schedule of the election districts with the list of the list attached to the Senate Law referred to; The two tables attached to this law.
Article Three
This law is published in the Official Gazette, and it is made from the day following the date of its publication.
This law is imprisoned with the seal of the state, and is implemented as one of its laws.
