A number of tenants confirmed to Cairo 24 that the park was their only source of livelihood, and that the decision to close caused their displacement and suddenly stopped their work, noting that although the lease contract has not yet ended, they were surprised by the decision to close the Safari Park Park in Giza, and cut off the facilities for all workers without referring to form a specialized committee to study their conditions until now.
He pointed out that this matter caused a state of anger and resentment between the people and the tenants who confirmed that the park was the only source of their income and their primary breath.
One of the tenants stressed: We were surprised by the decision and we have no alternative and we did not reach the existence of compensation, while others demanded the formation of an urgent committee to find solutions to preserve their rights and reopen the garden for the people.
In exclusive statements to Cairo 24, a source in Giza Governorate explained that the reason for the closure is due to the poor condition of the park and its need to redevelop and raise its efficiency, but the people and tenants see that the decision came without providing appropriate alternatives or compensation.

The source confirmed to Cairo 24, that the contract with a safari Park investor was broken due to a financial debt that has not been paid yet, noting that the park is currently not closed permanently as some claimed, but another investor has been contracted, which is the Al -Ittihad company affiliated to the Maspero Triangle.
The source stressed that one of the most important reasons for annulment of the contract is that there are many other problems with the Safari Park investor, namely; The absence of civil defense, safety and occupational health.
The source added: All tenants will be contacted to contract with them again starting from the day for a period of three days, but on the conditions of the new investor, and none of them will be displaced.
And today, a committee affiliated with the Ministry of Housing arrived at the Safari Park Giza Park to close it, as the people of Imbaba and some of the tenants confirmed that she was the only outlet in the region, stressing: We do not know we will work in our work.
While a number of owners of the contracting stores in the Giza Park complained of suddenly stopping their work without informing them before, calling on the Ministry of Housing to move urgently to ensure and preserve their legitimate rights.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities, represented by the Masspero Triangle Development Authority, Eye Charity and the Walk of the People of Egypt, issued a decision to cancel the contract with the construction and housing company for utilities and everything related to the operation of the Giza Park Park, due to many problems and the absence of civil defense, safety and occupational health.
The text of the decision of the Masspero Triangle Development Authority, the Eye Junction and the People of Egypt Walk is: referring to Republican Resolution No. 6 of 2020 regarding the transfer of the subordination of an area of 160.22 acres from the Imbaba airport development area for the benefit of the New Urban Communities Authority, including the Giza Park, and to the contract concluded between your esteemed company and the Central Agency for Development on 2/20/2019 regarding your company’s operating work for the park while preserving Its components and maintenance periodically, and to the decision of the Engineer Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities regarding the annulment of the contract with your company, given the park’s bad situation that needs to be re -raised its efficiency and restored its civilizational image.
