Rabie added that the crisis has exacerbated and caused the suffering of navigational marine lines for ships and containers during trips, in addition to fuel consumption, the weak salaries of sailors, the rise of the rows from the Far East to the north from 741 dollars to 2694 per container, and the imposition of additional emergency risks, which amounted to $ 2,500 per container.
Rabie explained that the number of ships in 2024 decreased by 7.7%, a decrease to 8.6 million tons, the revenues reached about 50%less than the previous year, and during April 2024, the maritime navigation movement decreased, as ships were attributed to 3.1%, and the container decreased by 3.7%.
Rabie pointed out that to calm the conditions of the inflamed crisis that caused great losses, the company, in cooperation with corporate agents and marine navigation lines, to discuss and exchange ideas, visions and views from various angles, which contributed to providing new and special services for ships that cross from the Bab al -Mandab and the Red Sea, such as, maintenance and repair of ships, marine rescue, supply, fuel, Switching with kits, combating pollution.
Rabie emphasized that the channel sponsored the reform of the Greek Vehravia ship, which was wounded after the Houthi missile was launched in the Red Sea, whose movement did not stop reaching the proximity of the Suez Canal, and the ships and equipment needed to fix and maintain the ship were supplied, and it took about 6 days of continuous work.
Rabie explained that the rumors circulating about the delay of ships inside the navigational corridor of the Suez Canal, and the recurrence of many accidents, and the narrowness of the navigational corridor, were answered by working to develop the corridor to accommodate the largest possible number of ships in addition to supplying the necessary services for ships and sailors.
