A source for Cairo 24 revealed the reason behind the inclusion of the Pyramids Club of Zamalek Club in the list of litigants in the complaint brought from the first before the International Sports Court, due to the penalties for the last summit match from which the Al -Ahly club withdrew.
The source pointed out that Zamalek is present in the case as a opponent and not a witness, as some have reported, indicating that a party cannot be included as a witness in the case.
The source added that the Pyramids lawyer was intelligently treated by placing the Zamalek club as a opponent in the case, because Zamalek is a potential party to be damaged, and therefore his presence in the case was necessary to block the road in front of the possibility of disrupting the case in the future if Zamalek was not included in it.
The source pointed out that if Zamalek is not included in the case from the beginning, one of the parties in the future can inform the court of the existence of another party exposed to the damage, in which case Zamalek would have been inserted into the case, but with its procedures from the beginning, which prolongs the period of the case’s consideration before the court.
Yesterday, the Sports Court decided to reject the Pyramids request to adjudicate his complaint according to a hurried timetable, after Al -Ahly and the Club Association refused to separate the case urgently.
While the court will issue a decision before May 28 in the Pyramids request to stop the decision of the League Council issued on March 30, not to deduct 3 additional points from Al -Ahly at the end of the season.
