Alaa Al -Najjar, a child specialist at Al -Tahrir Hospital at Nasser Medical Complex, received the bodies of nine of her children while performing her work, after targeting her house with an Israeli raid in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip.
The doctor had arrived at her work in the complex, after her husband delivered her to the hospital, but as soon as he returned to the house, he was targeted by an Israeli missile, which led to the death of nine of their children, and the injury of the tenth child, in addition to the injury of the husband who was transferred to intensive care in a critical condition, according to what I reported (dpa).
The Director General of the Ministry of Health in the sector, Dr. Munir Al -Barash, published in a publication via the “X” platform, today, Saturday, a video from the doctor’s house, and the bodies of the young people appear charred.
“Dr. Alaa Al -Najjar, a pediatrician at Al -Tahrir Hospital at Nasser Medical Complex, has ten children, the oldest of whom is not more than 12 years.”
He also showed that she went out with her husband, Dr. Hamdi Al -Najjar, to reach her work, and just minutes after his return, a missile fell on their house, killing nine of their children: Yahya, Rakan, Raslan, Gibran, Eve, Rivan, Sidin, Luqman, and Sidra. As Adam, the only remaining child, and her husband, Dr. Hamdi, who is now lying in intensive care.
He added: “This is what our medical cadres are experiencing in the Gaza Strip. The words are not enough to describe pain. In Gaza, the medical staff is not only targeted, but the Israeli occupation is concerned with crime, and it targets entire families.”
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip explained that the number of children has reached 16 thousand and 503.
Since the war began, the death toll in Gaza reached more than 53,000, according to the latest toll reported by the Ministry of Health in Gaza, including at least 3340 people since Israel resumed its strikes on March 18.
The war also left tremendous damage, and hunger spread in some areas due to the scarcity of food and medical aid.
