We live in a new, rapidly rhythmic world, in which life is running quickly, as time management has become one of the most important challenges facing a person, and imposes on him his understanding and awareness properly until he maintains his psychological health and the quality of his life.

But what many people do not realize is that time is not just a physical concept that is measured by minutes and hours, but also a psychological concept known as the “psychological clock”. This internal clock, which plays a pivotal role in how we realize time and its impact on our behaviors and decisions, and even our psychological balance.

The psychological clock indicates the way we test time personally. Sometimes, we may feel that the minutes are very slowly, as when waiting for a long queue, or waiting for an upgrade we believe that we deserve it and do our utmost to get it, but it is too late for reasons that only the Lord of the Worlds knows. While at other times, the hours may fly without feeling it, as it happens when we indulge in an enjoyable activity. Like reading an enjoyable book or spending time with people we love. This difference in perception is due to complex psychological and neurological factors.

Psychologically, the mood plays a major role in forming our awareness of time. When we are in a state of stress or anxiety, time tends to stretch, which makes us feel slowly. On the contrary, when we are happy or busy with enjoyable activities, the time seems to pass quickly. This phenomenon is known as the “Time Diant time effect” and “Time Contraction”.

In addition, the biological clock is an internal mechanism that regulates sleeping and waking courses, and affects our energy and concentration levels. It greatly affects the psychological clock. When the biological clock is turbulent, as is the case when traveling across different time areas or working in night seizures, we may feel distorted in perception of time. We feel tired and tired.

The psychological hour is not just an interesting phenomenon, but rather has real effects on all aspects of our lives. For example, it can affect our productivity, as the sense of time or slowly walking may lead to fatigue, when we do a boring job or may be forcibly imposed on us, or when we feel in a state of imminent danger like a natural disaster or an unfortunate accident, or waiting for a test or medical examinations. While feeling the time or fast time, it may make us accomplish the tasks quickly because we have chosen the task of our will and according to its tendencies and abilities, as a hobby that we love like playing a musical instrument or drawing a painting that expresses our talent, or satisfying a knowledge scientific passion.

The concept of psychological clock in relation to mental health is to evoke positive or negative events from the past and pass through the same emotional experience that occurred at that time. For example, in the past, we may face a pressure event, such as we lost a dear, or we are subjected to a painful accident as a material loss or a failure in a project. When we remember this event, we pass through the same painful feelings that we suffered from during its occurrence on the ground, as if we were living in the present because of the effect of the psychological clock inside us. Likewise, we have passed through happy experiences that delighted our hearts in the past, because our psychological watch evokes them to live again, and we are overwhelmed by Fayyad’s feelings of joy and happiness as if we are living now.

Therefore, understanding the psychological clock and how to manage it can help us improve the quality of our lives. By remembering happy events and avoiding the rumination of painful memories. The use of techniques such as meditation, pressure management, and sleep regulation, we can improve our awareness of time and thus enhance our psychological and physical health.

In the end, the psychological clock is an integral part of our human experience. By understanding and dealing with it wisely, we can live a more balanced, satisfied and happy life.
