‘Yellowjackets’ season 3 trailer features first look at Hilary Swank

Yellowjackets clearly doesn’t intend on slowing down anytime soon.

The Showtime drama released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming third season, which promises that “the past will come back to hunt you.” Get it?

The jam-packed teaser trailer features everything from teen Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) declaring, “I can’t believe we didn’t eat that bitch first” about one of her teammates to adult Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) stating that “someone wants to kill us.”

And that’s not all. Jackie’s (Ella Purnell) back, but this time she seems to be haunting present-day Shauna, which could be one of the ways that the timelines will collide this season. As co-creator Ashley Lyle previously told Entertainment Weekly, “One thing that’s always been important to us is that the timelines are really interconnected in terms of the characters and the totality of the characters and the consequences of what they went through didn’t end in the past.”

But Jackie isn’t Shauna’s only worry. There’s also her daughter, Calie (Sarah Desjardins), who, after the events of the season 2 finale, has decided that the wants to know “what happened out there.” Oh, and adult Misty (Christina Ricci) seemingly stabs Shauna?!

Meanwhile, in the teen timeline, Shauna prepares to make her move for the Antler Queen title as she tells Natalie (Sophie Thatcher), “You are not in charge anymore.” (Along those lies, Lyle also previously told EW, “What we see is a continuation of some of the tensions and resentments that were building in season 2. And those really play a large part in how the girls continue to interact this season.”)

Last but not least, we get our first look at new cast member Hilary Swank, and although the trailer doesn’t tell us who she’s playing, it’s safe to say that her character is not excited about who (or what) she’s seeing. Watch the full trailer above.
