Gold prices in the Egyptian market recorded today, Friday, May 23, 2025, a slight decrease in some bullets during the opening of today’s trading, in conjunction with the registration of the price of the global gold ounce of the highest level in two weeks, yesterday at the level of 3345 dollars per ounce, where today’s trading was opened at the level of 3319 dollars per ounce and is currently trading at the level of 3297 dollars per ounce.
This comes after the decision of the Monetary Policy Committee within the Central Bank of Egypt, to reduce interest rates on deposit and lending operations and the price of the main operation of the Central Bank by 1% yesterday, Thursday, May 22, 2025.
According to the latest gold price update on the platform of any formula specialized in the trading of gold and jewelry via the Internet, the prices came as follows:

- The price of a gram of 21 carat gold: 4640 pounds.
- The price of a gram of 24 -carat gold: 5302 pounds.
- The price of a gram of 18 carat gold: 3977 pounds.
- The price of a gram of 14 carat gold: 3093 pounds.
- Gold pound price: 37120 pounds.
- Oidal price: 3297 dollars.
It is noteworthy that the high price of local gold depends during the current period on the global gold price and its moves, which directly change the directions of the local price.
The recent decline in the exchange rate of the dollar against the pound in banks contributed to reducing local gold gains, because the weak exchange rate contributes to the weakness of the local gold pricing process, according to Gold Pelion.
