Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Sisi Al-Buainain, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, and His Excellency Mrs. Karima Mohamed Al-Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, participated in the fourth meeting of the General Secretariat of the member and partner parliaments in the Mediterranean Parliament, which was held from 21-22 May 2025 in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.
In this context, Eng. Muhammad Ibrahim Al -Sisi Al -Buainain, Secretary -General of the House of Representatives, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and support and follow -up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, is keen to provide the policies of the country and consolidate its international relations, and activate the role of parliamentary diplomacy through the level Mutual with the parliaments of friendly and brotherly countries, to support common interests.

The Secretary -General of the House of Representatives pointed out that the fourth meeting of the General Secretariat of the members of the members of the Mediterranean Parliament represents a prominent station in the joint parliamentary work path and a valuable opportunity to enhance bridges of institutional cooperation and exchange visions in highly sensitive regional and international conditions, indicating his happiness that the Mediterranean Parliament has proven within two decades that it is not just a consultation platform, but rather an active partner in regional stability engineering, Building multilateral cooperation frameworks and promoting parliamentary diplomacy as an effective tool to address complex challenges.
The Secretary -General of the House of Representatives noted that the challenges facing our region have become more intertwined and complicated, which requires a new pattern of integrated parliamentary thinking, in which public secretariats are a basic pillar in supporting the efforts of national parliaments to achieve sustainable development goals, establish peace, and enhance the values of justice and participation.
He added that the parliament of the Kingdom of Bahrain emphasizes the centrality of the role played by public secretariats in bridging the relationship between parliamentary principles and the requirements of modern institutional performance, and completely supports the establishment of a regular periodic mechanism for consultation and coordination between general secretaries in a way that contributes to enhancing legislative cohesion, unifying practices and supporting parliamentary initiatives of a cross -border nature.
For her part, Mrs. Karima Muhammad Al -Abbasi, Secretary -General of the Shura Council, affirmed that in line with the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and in line with the leading government plans headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, the Kingdom of Bahrain seeks to extend wider bridges of parliamentary diplomacy And integration with international legislative councils, aiming to reach the desired goals, achieve interests and influence various issues and files of common concern.
Al -Abbasi indicated that the Shura Council, under the guidance of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al -Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, took its pioneering position in carrying out tangible and fruitful contributions in the diplomatic field, establishing strong rules and growing cooperation with friendly and sister parliaments, and building firm relations that support the supreme interest of the country and the citizen.
Al -Abbasi noted its support for the proposal to hold the next meeting of the General Secretariat in the state of Montenegro (Montenegro) and the subject of the proposed meeting on the experience of artificial intelligence, especially since the Shura Councils and Representatives in the Kingdom of Bahrain have two successful experiences in this regard, where the Shura Council won the first place in the Arab world and 13 international Artificial in front of members of the Mediterranean Parliament.
It is noteworthy that the meeting was based in its axes on the importance of supporting joint parliamentary action within the framework of the Mediterranean Parliament through three basic platforms represented in contributing to the crystallization of the new European Charter for the Mediterranean, and to enhance the involvement of member states in the course of preparing the United Nations Charter for the Future, and to provide visions and suggestions on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of Parliament in order to ensure its institutional accumulation and provide its role in establishing peace and development in The Mediterranean and the Arab Gulf regions.
During the meeting of the General Secretaries of Member Parliamentary Parliament in the Mediterranean Parliament held in Marrakech, the Parliament’s path since its foundation was reviewed, and the most prominent initiatives and approaches that were adopted to support and enhance the efforts of the international community through parliamentary diplomacy to ensure sustainable peace and fruitful cooperation, open new horizons and develop coordination mechanisms to effectively address the current joint challenges.
