Israeli media and the Israeli army announced, on Thursday evening, that the air defense system intercepted a missile launched from Yemeni lands towards the occupied territories.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper confirmed that the authorities had a temporary suspension of the takeoff and landing movement at Ben -Gurion International Airport, in conjunction with the activation of sirens in several areas, after monitoring the hostile body.

The Israeli Home Front stated that the sirens of warning were worn in cities and settlements in the center and south of the country, without reporting any injuries so far.
Israeli military sources indicated that the investigations are underway to find out the nature of the missile and its path, and that the air defenses were at maximum alert due to the escalation of threats from long -term areas, headed by Yemen.
It is noteworthy that the Houthi group in Yemen had declared in previous times targeting Israeli targets with rockets and drones, within the framework of supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
