With the recent confirmation of the Lebanese authorities that the time of weapons outside the state had passed, the Lebanese army commander Rudolph Heikal explained today, Thursday, that it was the continuation of the deployment in the south.

He also indicated that the armed forces insisted on keeping pace with the return of the people to their villages in southern Lebanon, and fighting terrorism and organized crime.
He stressed the necessity of controlling and protecting the northern and eastern borders.
In addition, he pointed out that Israel insists on its violations and attacks, continues to occupy lands in the south, and hindered the deployment of the army, supernatural decisions.
The army had previously announced that it had dismantled about 500 Hezbollah sites in the south, and spread in most areas.
In turn, the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, stressed that the authorities are continuing to control weapons outside the country.
It is noteworthy that the ceasefire agreement, which began last November, after months of confrontations between Israel and Hezbollah, stipulated the party’s withdrawal from the south and the deployment of the army, in exchange for the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from the country.
However, the Israeli army is still seized in 5 locations that supervise the border from both sides, refusing to withdraw.
Israel is also still carrying out raids in the south despite the armistice, pointing out that it “targets Hezbollah members.”
