The US State Efficiency Ministry (DOGE) has revealed a waste of $ 100 million annually on unused phone lines.
The official account of the Ministry posted on the “X” platform details of the report, which showed that the US government’s employee affairs management office was spending millions on ineffective phone lines.
The publication explained: “Of the 1048 phone plans belonging to the office, 198 lines (19%) were either unused or repeated.
Given that the budget of the office represents about 0.1% of the federal budget, this indicates that annual waste may reach $ 100 million at the entire government level. “
It is noteworthy that the US State Department was established by a decision of President Donald Trump, with the aim of reducing unnecessary expenses and restructuring federal agencies.
